The elevated height helps to reduce bending over multiple times or having to get on your knees to do laundry. Unlike the competition, the EZ Laundry Pedestal is compatible with most washing machines and dryers sold in the USA. This pedestal fits all washers and dryers with a base width up to 29 inches and is compatible with all brands. It is made of premium quality steel with a weight capacity of over 400 lbs. The minimalist design provides a clean and modern look while providing more practical space for storage of a laundry basket or laundry supplies. Fits laundry baskets with a width up to 24.25”, depth up to 29" and height up to 10.75". (EZ Laundry Hamper that is compatible with open space is available for purchase on Amazon.) Assembly is super simple and is not a DIY project that will take up your entire weekend. The raised top shelf secures the laundry machine in place and acts as a drain pan to protect floors from leaks. A new drainage hole with rubber plug now comes standard in the 29" version. Rubberized feet to add grip and protect your floor. Hardware to connect two pedestals are included with each pedestal to make a strong and solid connection and helps prevent walking and reduces vibrations from spin cycle. Installation notes: Please install the top shelf with raised edges upright to keep laundry machines secure and to allow water containment in case of leaks. If your dwelling has a floor drain or you would like an option to divert leaks to a bucket or any receptable, you can separately purchase a drainage adapter and hose to divert the water instead of capturing inside the pedestal. We have found these items on Amazon to be compatible (ASINs B09ZTNJJGG and B08ZSG8VS8). The drainage attachment has to be 20mm to fit the hole on the pedestal and the tube needs to be 16mm to work with the recommended adapter. You can then feed hose to floor drain or desired location. Pedestals work best in pairs as they are structurally more solid when connected together. If purchasing for the dryer, one is ok but it is recommended to purchase two when using it for the washer. Connecting the pedestals together virtually eliminates walking and reduces excessive shaking. Prior to installation of laundry machines on pedestals, please ensure they are properly leveled. Adjust the leveling legs as necessary to ensure there is no wobble and that machine is even on all sides. This helps to ensure the machine is balanced and helps to reduce noise and excessive vibrations during the spin cycle. Newer and more advanced laundry machines have improved anti vibration technology, however, if your machine does not have these features or your shocks are wearing out, it may become necessary to use the provided rubber pads to help alleviate vibrations. To install the pads 1) remove the adhesive 2) raise one leg of laundry machine at a time 3) stick pad onto bottom of leg and slowly and gently lower onto the pedestal.
